Re: Newest Nvidia driver causes memory leak
I am going back to my old trusty 372.70, but I am also toning down some settings in P3D. Even with 378.78 I had some weird things, like unusual VAS load of about 300mb while not doing anything. I was in a VC, and it stayed that way for about 2 hours.

Re: Newest Nvidia driver causes memory leak
Come on, don't talk about default P3D settings, as the sim should be able to cope with it's own settings. Even with sceneries. There shouldn't be a memory leak, which IS there with water on ultra (at least on my setup, currently).
I will, as I said, test without REX water.

Re: Newest Nvidia driver causes memory leak
It would be interesting to know what the default P3D settings are when first default tests are run ... before changing settings or adding addons. I don't get it, what do you mean? After a fresh install of P3D: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=123246 What are the default slid...

Re: Newest Nvidia driver causes memory leak
Great, thanks too! I see some key settings comparable to lower settings, I have my eye now on tessellation factor, shadow quality and water quality. Right now flight with lower water is proceeding. Another hour or so. I'm quite confident that some sliders cause leaks now. And also explains the diffe...

Re: Newest Nvidia driver causes memory leak
Vaughan, You said you are using recent drivers and have no VAS problems. I might have found something out, but I need a little help from you. Can you please make screenshots of your P3D graphics settings and zip them somewhere for DL? (screenshots I can best compare to mine) I think it's some settin...

Re: MSVCR120.DLL Crash
You say you tried reinstalling runtimes? When it comes to runtimes, it is recommended to do following: - uninstall all - restart after all have been uninstalled, or also inbetween if asked (DO NOT reinstall without reboot, or repair) - https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/help/2977003/the-latest-supp...

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
Weird. I searched with both Windows Explorer and Total Commander, both searching for hidden/system files, and the only file that was found was in: C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_desktop_ref4i.inf_amd64_6d7341131fca00bc I really have no file in c:\windows\system32\drivers, I looked...

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
I wonder about the discrepancy - I have it only in the filestore, not in system32/drivers (but will check again, maybe search just didn't find it.

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
I'd like to ask anyone having this problem, to search for nvlddmkm.sys on your whole system partition.
Please report if you have a single file (then check for the version and compare to the driver you *know* you last installed) or you have multiple files.
Thanks

Re: [Bug] Graphics Memory Leak??
I too think there is a problem when minimising the window. On one flight, I barely minimised the window and landed with about 30 FPS. I left the P3D window minimised for about 30 mins and when I re-opened the window the FPS had dropped to 20. I'll have to see if it is reproduce-able, because at the...

Re: P3d kernelbase.dll IT IS TIME FOR SOME ANSWERS
On FSL forum, I suggested a user to reinstall all his Visual X++ libraries. Look here: http://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/topic/11644-resolved-a320-crashes-to-desktop-with-ntdlldll-error/&do=findComment&comment=93113 I know it's not ntdll.dll, but hey, if everything else failed? Mayb...

Re: [Bug] Graphics Memory Leak??
Never minimize, texture loading bogs down, doesn't happen etc. Just leave running in the background, that is enough. Surely Kosta, that must mean it is a bug? Even if texture loading slows, it should return to normal when re-maximized and flush the old textures. The reason I minimize, is to bring G...
