Re: P3dv3 crashes after 2h 30min on PMDG

Post by peter131176 »

I would really appreciate if someone from P3D coders could have a look into it, I thought its my Windows so I reinstalled the whole lot Win and P3D with all addons, VAS usage was 1.9 on a monitor from FSPS at the moment App crashed. It has to be something in the code.

Maybe this might be helpful what I found about .NET Error

You have many addns that co dbe the cause. Suggest a clean install of the sim, not the OS.

My guess is PMDG will be the problem - and that's not L-M's code to fix.

its not addons it happens without them as well, and its not only me who has this issue, PMDG said that LM is aware about it its msvcr120.dll. However whats the point of addons if you cant use them? everything is fine on v2.5 only my vas is closing to dangerous point and on v3.1 it remains around 2.2MB only over London and Benelux its growing to 3.1 MB.

Because 3.1 is not 2.5. And PMDG have made no changes to their code to comply with the installation recommendations for 3.1 as opposed to 2.5. Because PMDG products, like many addons, are stressing the computer to a greater degree.

So, as you seem to know more about the problem and how to solve it: MSVCR120.dll is a Microsoft file, one NOT installed by Prepar3d but merely used by it.

I love you people bouncing ball back and forth and blaming one another instead contact each other and sort a problem. It was weeks until I post it and when I want to claim refund then I'm getting a reply after weeks that my addon is faulty. On PMDG webpage is clearly stated compatible with P3D v2.4-3.x only. Guys please have some respect to costumers, its us who are paying for product and you should be supportive and outgoing or investigate it not going on shortcuts and blaming something else.

Of course MSVCR120.dll is Microsoft and on what platform are you building a product - Linux? its VC++ 2013 redistributable used by ASN and Coutal and P3D. PMDG uses 2010. I'm not developer just a Windows system admin and my knowledge of coding is limited and thats why I'm asking you to help me with a problem and in return I'm getting its your addons or PMDG problem instead we will investigate cause at the moment we don't know where the issue is.

So really, you want the tail to wag the dog?

PMDG already work with L-M. Perhaps what you need is patience?

What I need is answer!!! are you working on this problem or not and what is estimated time of release an update.

I spent 4 full days to test the issue already where I could do other things. Good for me that I'm on seek leave other wise I wouldn't be able to.

I already reverted to 2.5 with all addons so you can imagine with installing windows how much work it is while in the mean time I reinstalled windows 2 times with P3D v3.1 and addons to diagnose an issue.

I love the way v3 managing memory and would like to stay on it however if awaiting time will be 2 months then I might to think about refund. I'm testing v3.0 at this very moment parallelly installed to 2.5 as I found pireps on 2nd of Jan where I was able to do flight 2h45min.

If you are working on this problem and you are aware of it why you didn't say so in the beginning of this conversation istead you pointed me to my addons issue and PMDG?

What I need more is when you think it could be resolved if shortly I can live with flights shorter then 2h for a time being.

v3.0 with ORBX Global Vector OpenLC England Ireland ASN PMDG 737-800NGX LPPT and Warsaw City X Crashed To Desktop without any error in Event Viewer after the same time as v3.1 crashed, which was around 2h40min.

Can I get a reply when update will be released or I will have to claim for refund.
