LandClass/Vector Data
Re: LandClass/Vector Data
Hi Max,
I just checked the LOC "IRJ" for the airport SBRJ and niksan29 was right as far as it was decommissioned some time ago, but it existed in the past.
Checked some AIRAC cycles I still have on my drive and "IRJ" was still available in 1611, but was removed in 1713.
Please note, that I have no cycles in between, but this was the period it was decommissioned. (It was also included in some old charts, used for a LOC/DME-approach, but no vertical guidance.
Now it was replaced with some RNAV-approaches as niksan29 mentioned.
Hope that helps :-)
Marc
Re: LandClass/Vector Data
Hi Zalcantar,
I've recognized the same issue, but this is not a P3D-issue. I suppose your are also using ORBX OPENLC-Europe.
ORBX provided an elevation corrected airport BGL for BIKF. Usually all old airport data should be deleted in such a case, so that no remains of the stock airport can be seen.
In this case they added some "exclusions" into their airport file, but in P3D V5 the airport position slightly changed and so these exclusions, which are created especially for the taxiway-signs, are not working anymore :-(
Here is an exemplary exclusion, defined in the ORBX-version of BIKF:
And that's the taxiway-sign that should be excluded:
Here you can see, that the taxiway-sign coordinates are not withing the exclusion definition of ORBX.
I will head over to the ORBX-forum and post there too...Hopefully this will get fixed.

Dear Max,
I've found another problem at SBSP-airport. There's a radar base blocking the taxiway :-)

Re: LandClass/Vector Data
Dear Max,
sorry, but I found another issue.
There is some strange mesh-behavior close to SBRJ, which occurs with the stock-mesh and also another 3rd-party mesh, so I suppose it has some other reason.
Location (S22°51.85' W42°49.08'):
It looks like sliced mountains:
Cheers,
Marc

Water polygon sticking out of the Mississippi River. Thanks for listening to and implementing these fixes!
Re: LandClass/Vector Data
Yeah i'm still checking on this thread and tracking these issues. Thanks to all of you who are helping me check every corner of the world :)

Detroit KDTW: The 6-mile-long spurious elevated roadway that was attached to the hotel near the McNamara terminal was indeed fixed in HF1, but now there are a bunch of wooden telephone poles on the cargo ramp just west of runway 22L, and on the access taxiways and adjacent grass areas.

Hi Max!
thanks for making the sim world better)))
I just wanted to clarify if you added these pro topics to your long list of fixes?:
https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopi ... 05#p217470
(nearby KGGG)
https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopi ... 90#p217311
( Add runway 13\31(this is actually a practically new mini airport inside) to the airport OMDW)
https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopi ... 30#p215320
(the problem of the river in the north of Russia)
and also wanted to ask, what do you think about this?:

Cheers!
Re: LandClass/Vector Data
I've noted those issues. The new runway will probably have to wait till i get updated formal data in the future.
Floating houses are a rendering/batching issue with the autogen which is not really my area of expertise.
edit: IRL what are those poles at KDTW. FAA has them as a type of electrical tower, not a pole or a radio antennae. Most are either 'telephone/utility' poles.

Were you able to fix the terminal size and jetways not attached at PVD?Max Perry wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 4:30 pm I've noted those issues. The new runway will probably have to wait till i get updated formal data in the future.

Hi!
You are not using navigraph or jeppsen data?
This information(for new runway) has long been available there;)
let's hope that responsible specialists will solve this issue;)
Cheers!
Re: LandClass/Vector Data
There are no poles, towers or structures of any kind at KDTW at the location shown. Pre-Covid, I flew out of DTW several times a year as a passenger, and have taxied past that very spot many times. The screenshot is heading northeast on runway 04R, just passing taxiway V, heading toward taxiway Z5. I do most of my test flights out of DTW, and I don’t think those wooden poles were there in the V5 RTM KDTW. They appeared after the spurious roadway coming off of the hotel east of the main terminal was fixed in HF1.mcdonoughdr wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 7:48 pm

I do use Orbx global textures and OpenLCNA, but no other scenery add-ons.

Area of Lake Constance (Germany / Switzerland) is fully flooded!

Cities like Bregenz, Dornbirn both in Austria are under watter. The entire valley is submerged.
