Setting accurate cloud base

Post by Tavy »

If Prepar3D is a serious flight simulation then it should have the ability to set a fairly accurate cloud base.
If conducting instrument flight then it’s important to be able to set a cloud base to break clear of cloud. Instrument approach minimums can be anything from 200 ft to 500 ft AGL and it would be very useful training scenario to set a low ceiling to break out of cloud approaching instrument minimums.

At the moment when setting say, overcast at 500ft, it can actually be anything from 1000 to 1500 ft above ground…….what the!!

Thanks

Mike
