[RESOLVED] changing hard drives

I want to transfer my P3dv5 from one hard drive to a new one on the same PC do I have to deactivate P3Dv5 first or can I just transfer it to another drive ?

Hi Musterpilot,
It is recommended that you uninstall Prepar3D before making hardware or OS changes.

Prepar3D can be properly uninstalled by ensuring you are connected to the internet, then navigating the Control Panel to the Add / Remove a Program section. Uninstall Prepar3D through this interface.

Chris is correct, if you want to change the location of P3D from, say your E: drive to your F: drive, you will have to uninstall and then reinstall.

Remember to back all the add-ons you might have up first!

Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies I will be changing my drive today what I am doing is changing from a 500 mb to a 1tb drive using the same drive letter so I take it it still applies to uninstalling P3Dv5.3
