(1) 'Stairway' down hill ridge-lines, [as circled below]
(2) 'Vapor' off the leading edge of aircraft wings or tail planes. In circled example below there is a white, cloud like, vapor coming off the leading edge of the tail plane.
(3) Vapor or cloud dancing about in tree tops when viewed from a runway with a treeline next to it, & the viewpoint is below the tree tops. I can provide a shot of this effect if requested.
