[RESOLVED] Sudden massive FPS loss

Postby luca193 » Fri Feb 14, 2020 9:44 pm

hi,
I've have a pretty new system i5 9600k, rtx2070super, 16 gb of ram, and so far P3D run smoothly around 40/50 FPS in cockpit, also with heavy aircraft like PMDG or AS and 60 and beyond in the outside view, all was great until today, i started P3D to enjoy a flight with the A330 from franfkurt and unfortunately i was getting just 5/7 FPS.
I don't now what to do, i've have tryed different solution given by other forum, but nothing changed.
I don't have a lot of addon, REX SF3D, ORBX, bounch of aircraft and scenery TOMATOSHADE and gsx, all was already installed and i was getting the FPS listed above.
Have someone got already this problem; it's really annoying.
Pls i need help :)

Ps: i just a P3d problem cause i didn't experienced this problem on other games

That actually didn't risolved the problem, so i've decided to uninstall the whole package (sim+addon) and i hope to get back on track.
I thinking that the problem could be actually related to the new Windows 10 recent update, hope that can be fixed earlier this period.

I also had the same problem and reinstalling it solved the problem.

Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling the add-ons, that should work. If not, maybe it's an OS problem, try reinstalling Windows.

I fail to see how a Windows reinstallation should solve a problem like this.

If you decide to uninstall P3D and reinstall, then get the P3D installation working flawlessly first. Then install the add-ons one by one and test in a situation where you would experience this FPS loss between each installation, so you find the culprit.
