V4.5 fix update ???

Post by clive6354 »

Hello

Is there any progress news on the fix for V4.5?
Many users are very pleased with V4.5, however many users are still waiting for the opportunity to use it

What is keeping you from using P3Dv4.5?

4.5 working great here with no issues!
I always do a full wipe/reinstall of Windows, P3D and add-ons after each point release.
Otherwise, I run into problems.

May I have a response from Lockheed Martin, should I do a full re-install of P3d and add-ons in order for V4.5 to work correctly or should I continue to wait for a fix to be released and update per instructions as I have not seen any official direction informing that a full re-install is required for V4.5 to work correctly

What problem(s) do you have with P3Dv4.5?

Previously you mentioned P3Dv4.5 was ok with FPS but Black Marble was an issue:

Low FPS and screen freezing. Black Marble was not the cause of low FPS but it appears when removing add-ons the FPS returns to normal (even when the add-ons were not being used in V4.5). Lockheed Martin has established that there is a problem with FPS and has stated that a fix will be issued.

I have read about having to re-install P3D and all add-ons so that V4.5 although this information does not appear on the website. I also read that V4.5 will work if sliders are not set too high. I am not interested in half measures as I wish to use my system specifications to their full potential (i7-7700 + GTX1080+32GB ram)

V4.4 worked perfect 40-60 FPS V4.5 10 to 15
All the same addons used in V4.5 as in V4.4

What is the problem with V4.5??? Many users are not able to use it until a fix is issued (not half measures)

Hello Everyone,

We identified and found a fix for an issue that can affect framerates in some use cases in v4.5. We are currently working with various third parties on some additional reports and will release a hotfix in the next couple of weeks. Thanks again for the reports and detailed information. Every little bit helps when tracking something down like this and we appreciate your time in helping us solve the problem. Thanks again for your support!

" We are currently working with various third parties on some additional reports and will release a hotfix in the next couple of weeks. "

My guess is that LM will release information at a future date.

Edit:
Later in the same Locked Topic :
"I'm locking the thread for now and will unlock when the hotfix is posted. Thanks again everyone for the reports and your patience concerning this issue. "

Thank you for the update.

I've uninstalled Orbx Great Britain South TE until the hotfix is released.

Good update, I have uninstalled P3D until a fix for this mess. The good news is that X-Plane is working great! I had enough issues going on in P3D to justify grounding it for awhile, slow frames is no way fly for sure. I'll wait for the fix read some post and see rather or not it is a go...until then DCS and X-Plane. Getting a bit tired of all these revisions and updates that fix one thing and cause an issue somewhere else.

Hi all, i had same FPS and stutters problems with a new fresh install of 4.5. But i was reading the complete Thread "Re: Frame issues in Prepar3D v4.5
Post by Rob McCarthy", well, there are 9 pages, i beleave, but in one of the posts there mentioned to just change the client back to 4.4, so i did. Means i'm running the full installer 4.5 than just changed the client back to 4.4 and all runs fine.

Surely if you changed the Client back to v4.4 you are running V4.4 not 4.5

Can you provide the link to the post
