Hi,
The default F-16 (Aerosoft) in Prepare3D Professional v4.3 is really nice. BUT, I lose 10-15 FPS by just activating the left/right MFD displays. If I have 45 FPS, my frames drop to about 30 when turning on the MFD's. It does not matter what I choose to disply on the MFD's - just activating them is enough to trigger a massive FPS loss.
Is this a known issue?
Will it ever be fixed?

Hello,
You will see a slight performance drop due to the panel system running for the aircraft. You may want to adjust other various settings to reduce CPU load on your system if you are seeing this much of an impact.

I understand. Be aware that I have tried many many aircrafts, including the F-22 with it's very advanced center/map MFD. There is minimal FPS drop with most aircrafts with MFD's. Either default or payware aircrafts. The Aerosoft F-16 has a huge FPS drop by just activating the MFD displays. This is a known issue with the Aerosoft F-16. Just wondering if you guys are aware of this issue with the F-16Hello,

My CPU is an i7-2700k @ 4.6GHz - soon to be replaced by an i9-9900k @ 5GHz all cores (and a RTX 2080Ti)

The F16 manual is by LM so I assumed it was not an Aerosoft product.Hi,

I tested using P3Dv4.3 Academic.
My FPS is locked at 20 (windowed mode / 2 monitors).
With both of the F16's Displays on my FPS is 19.5.

Well, I just tested also standing still at an airport (ENBR). 45 FPS. When activating the F-16 MFD's the FPS drops to 27. When deactivating the MFD's the FPS goes back to 45 FPS.
I tested using P3Dv4.3 Academic.
My FPS is locked at 20 (windowed mode / 2 monitors).
With both of the F16's Displays on my FPS is 19.5.
Try again with less GFX options. Get the si to around 45 FPS (or more), then activate the two MFD's. This is a known issue with the F-16

If you lock your FPS = 20
Do you see a FPS drop when you test again?

Re: F-16 MFD - 10-15 FPS drop when turning on the MFD's
I will never see a drop when locked at 20 FPS because going from 47 to 27 is still above 20FPS. So I am afraid this is a pointless test.If you lock your FPS = 20
Do you see a FPS drop when you test again?
Re: F-16 MFD - 10-15 FPS drop when turning on the MFD's
Well, now the F-16 is a LM (Prepar3D) product and owned by LM (including the source code I would think). The F-16 you see in P3D v4 was developed/sold by Aerosoft to LM. Previously the (Aerosoft) F-16 wa s a payware aircraft for FSX and P3D.
The F16 manual is by LM so I assumed it was not an Aerosoft product.
BTW: Milviz is currently working on a (new) payware F-16 Viper aircraft for P3D and maybe FSX-SE. I am really looking forward to that aircraft and will buy it as soon it is available. That said, the LM/Aerosoft F-16 is a fine plane to fly, not ultra realistic, but nice with very good sounds :-)
