Is SDK 2.5.12952.0 effected by this P3D patch 2.5.12943.0? . . . is there a compatible VisualFXtool for patched v2.5 or is it not required?
Thanks

I too have X52 joystick and pedals and I randomly keep loosing them. Unplugging it from PC and plugging it back in seems to fix the issue temporarily until next hickup but it's rather annoying. Now that I hear others are having problems with same hardware, I would like to chime in too and point a problem out since it exists.

FSDreamteam has updated his Addon Manager, and now GSX and all sceneries work with the P3D hotfix.

HiFi has just released an updated ASN, compatible with v2.5:

Yes, I've got it and it works well with the hotfix. I did find though that it wouldn't do it from the update zip. ASN had to be completely uninstalled and then reinstalled.

It does work well though. I'm chuffed.

"This constant procedure of full reinstalling, uninstalling, patches, work-arounds, and fixes is not only time consuming, but very frustrating. Just my $0.02"

Why not stick with FSX? There are no updates for that.

If anyone is experiencing CTD's either before or after the hotfix and running FSDT GSX then this could be the culprit , there is a test fix here which seems to work - http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index. ... 97.30.html

Would it be possible to provide us a link to 2.4?

A lot of users would like to roll back.

LM did certainly a good job but how to evaluate it ?
They provide to us some advice in the main banner and none of those products were enough tested with this release (or third documentation provided on the products owners web site)
After contacting some dev friends for those organizations, LM did not provide any roadmap and release date. When 2 guys are working for free update, it could be hudge workload to patch their products
Next time, Rob (my favortite tester) could be more clear with the compatibility list
Prepar3D V2.4 link can be easy found for licenced users
I cannot wait 6 months more after the Pmdg delivery and a lots of products correction to 2.4
Next time, please prepare ud and the rest of provider to these kind of majors version. I would be more patient for addons upgrade to 64 bits version :)

wills402,
Take a look at Adam Breed's post, first post on page one. From that I get that 2.5.12943.0 is the latest version which includes the hotfix.

I have got into a muddle with installing Prepar3D 2.5.12943.0 and PMDG 777s, so I want to clear out Prepar3D to re-install it. Just using Windows to uninstall Prepar3D and then re-install gets me back to the same situation.

What do I have to do to get my Win7 back to pre-Prepar3D condition?

Best bet is Control Panel/Programs & Features/ Lockheed Martin P3D then click uninstall at the top. That should get rid of it for you and then you'll probably get a clean install.

However, there is a 'repair' feature in Programs & Features that you might like to try first.
