P3D v3.
P3D v3.
I am just looking for a bit of general advice, my machine isn’t the best and i’m trying to understand all of the settings as opposed to FSX as I recently changed over, what are the biggest frame rate killers or does anyone have any advice on how to maintain stable frames on a lower end machine?
Re: P3D v3.
The biggest frame-rate killer, or rather what will prevent you from getting the desired frame rates is your hardware.
But remember, frame rates is only one part of the picture that you see on your screen.
If you will post your hardware specs, then we can take it from there.

Re: P3D v3.
Hey thanks for getting back to me, sorry i’m super new to all this tbh, how would I go about finding them to paste here?
Re: P3D v3.
What we basically need to know is what kind of CPU is in your system, what clock rate it's running at, how much RAM you have and what kind of graphics adapter you have. Your version of Windows would also be nice.
There is a free utility that will give you a lot of information about your hardware. It's called CPU-Z, and it's available from here:

Re: P3D v3.
From this, it looks like you have a laptop with an Intel 3825U CPU, running at 1.9 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and an Intel HD graphics adapter.
This computer may - repeat MAY - be able to run P3D v. 3, but it's a tad slower than the official requirement of a 2 GHz CPU, and the Intel HD graphics adapter can also pose a problem.
If v. 3 will run, it will be slow. And with add-ons, it will be slower. I don't like to tell you this, but I have to.
You can purchase v. 3 and try it out, and if it does not work OK for you, then L-M has a 14-day refund policy.

Re: P3D v3.
I purchased it already and tbh i’m actually happy with it so far!! i’m getting lower frames but overall it is much smoother for me and with the specs I have i’m not expecting to be able to have very high settings, it was just that the actual settings themselves have some new details in them and i’m a bit clueless tbh so I was looking for some things that are known for being FPS killers in the settings to ensure i have them off or if there are any settings on my laptop/P3D settings which could help with performance.
Thanks for all of your help, it’s much appreciated :)
