P3D UI Directly Loading into Scenario

Post by nadeem »

Hello All,

Would appreciate any support regarding an issue that I have with my current P3D HF2 setup. started happening a few days ago and it is when I load up P3D to set up my scenario/flight the simulator automatically loads into the scenario as the default settings and I have two windows open in return to this (greyed out and the normal sim)

Not sure what went wrong with my sim but is there anyway to fix this error.

I have the "Show Scenario On Startup as checked"

below are some images that I am referencing to and I really hope that someone has a solution to this abnormality.

Thanks

@ nadeem ,

Just to verify you are on P3D HF2 of v5 based on screenshot.

Is loading into the P3D default flight ok?

@ nadeem ,

What I would do as a quick test is :

With any flight loaded.
Change aircraft to Mooney Bravo
Change airport to e.g. KJFK
Save the flight as Default flight
Exit P3D
Reboot PC
Start P3D and see if the new default flight loads.

Is there nothing to change in the settings? I am unable to select aircraft or airport location without it loading automatically once I click both of those buttons.

What can I do other than that?

I will try this and see.

Thanks

sorry to interrupt, check the p3d.cfg file in the appdata/roaming/preparedv5 folder and check to see if you have this entry in the [USERINTERFACE] section ... SHOW_SCENARIO_WINDOW=1

if its not there, copy and paste that in and if it is there and says 0, then change it to a 1.

save and exit, restart pc

No need to apologize. It is there. but the issue is not gone. still persists.

I followed an advice on a facebook group and it said to run the command inside the P3D folder "Delete Generated Files" It deleted everything for me! Should have checked but now Its like I have to setup again.

Not sure what is wrong. Started happening only a few days ago.

Such an annoying issue

Thank you! Your solution worked!

Now more issues show up and I must try to fix them.

Thanks again for your recommendation.

@Prepar3d Support Staff

This issue is back and I have seemed to notice that the issue persists when i install new scenery.

Can you please help me fix this permanently.

I fixed this the first time by taking the suggestion of the last person and it worked. However, this has never happened to me before. How can this error be eliminated.

Thanks

Hello,

Have you gone through the general debugging steps?
https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopi ... 2&t=123246

If this issue occurs when you’re installing addons, you might have addons that aren’t compatible with each other. You could try installing them one by one and seeing which one causes the issue.

Hello Kayla

Thank you for your response. Can you please be more specific about the addons that aren't compatible? Can you please provide an example?

I have executed most of the debugging steps several times and it actually deleted all my P3D Files the first time around.

I will look into this further once I receive some more feedback from you

Thanks in advance
