New on Prepar3d PC purchase

Hi all, after being off line for about 5 years (I am and old FSX user) I want to start again as active Fsim user and I like to to do this with the for me rather unknown Prepar3d fsim.
Issue is I first have to buy a new PC. After quite some study on various websites amd still not sure whcih requirements I need to run this programm smoothly.

Is Ryzen 7 ok or must I have Ryzen 9, or is Intel i7 sufficient or i9. All comes with a price tag I understand
Graphics Nvidia RTX2080 or can less be ok as well. I understood graphics card is more important than the processor
Windows 10 home or pro ?

Any advise and suggestions will be welcomed,

Achim,

An i9 is very nice, an i7 is "good enough" (see my signature). But if you get an Intel (whatever the model number), then be sure to get one with a "K" suffix, that means it is unlocked and can be overclocked, if you so desire. A lot of people also swear by AMD processors, I do not have any experience with those. The processor is still the most important element in P3D, but less so than in FSX.

The RTX 2080 is also a nice graphics card, but look into the new nVidia 3000-series coming out these days, the 3080 is about the same performance as the 2080 but at about 2/3 of the price. The problem here is availability....

Windows 10 Home is fine, I use that myself.

That setup will run most anything!

Personally, I would wait until the 3080 graphics card becomes available, it will give you higher performance than the 2070 Super, more VRAM (10 GB, which you will need) and a lower price. The question, of course, is WHEN it will be available....

Ik heb gelukkig nog wat tijd :) Dus met Intel core 17 en de 3080 grafische kaart erbij kan ik aan de gang begrijp ik.
Ik ga eens kijken waar en bij wie ik zo een pc kan laten samen stellen
