Hi all,
I ve just installed P3d V5 (5.0.31....) and noticed that it microstutters in full screen mode ( at 30 fps stable). However, she is very smooth in windowed mode ( same fps).
I have applied the necessary tweaks to nvidia inspector ( like fps limited to 30, half refresh rate, etc).
In-game fps set to unlimited and v-sync On.
Settings are not crazy high, but I can run stutter free in windowed mode.
Applied the affinity mask in the cfg file.
It ruins the experience in full screen mode but, in windowed mode, so smooth.
I remember flying in V4.5 just a few days ago. No issues whatsoever.
Any idea guys?
Thanks.

Re: P3D v5 - microstutters in full screen mode.
Your CPU - i7-7700 HQ - is the issue. It runs at a base clock rate of 2.8 GHz, which is actually below the minimum required rate for v. 5 of 3.0 GHz.
In windowed mode it will run smoother, because there isn't that much graphics to update.

Re: P3D v5 - microstutters in full screen mode.
Hi Jorgen,
I tested it out to determine whether my CPU was the bottleneck.
I dialed down the graphic settings all the way but even then, micro-stutters did exist in full screen mode.
Again smooth in window mode.
Then, the turned the settings back up ( a lot higher ).
The same results followed.

Re: P3D v5 - microstutters in full screen mode.
Vishal,
Your CPU is not only the bottleneck, it is simply not powerful enough to run v. 5. That is why you get the stutters.
