VR: How to use touch controllers of Oculus Rift CV1

Hi,
new to P3Dv4.4, I tried to use VR with Oculus Rift CV1, everything went fine except the touch controllers of the rift didn't come to life. The only action I can do with them is to switch to the dashboard of oculus. (Touch controllers are well calibrated, because they work flawless with x-plane) What did I miss? Many thanks in advance for any hint,

The touch controllers don't work in P3D. They never have. It's not that something is broken, it's just that P3D is not programmed to use them.

At least that is my understanding.
