Finally NVSurround can be used without the fisheye effect. LM has solved it by making special shaders which corrects the distortion.
Most people do not know that it has been fixed.
Thanks you LM !
In P3Dv4.3 :
Open the Menu taskbar in P3D
Go to Views
Go to Manage Camera's
Fill in a name for the new Camera view
At the right from the list at the bottom check "Wideview"
Set the zoom you want ( best 0.31 --> has to be higher than 0.30 )
Save as Scenario or Global
Fly without distortion ...
LM fixed the NVSurround Distortion
Re: LM fixed the NVSurround Distortion
Thanks alot for the tip Saldo!
That is, without exaggeration, pretty awesome!!

Re: LM fixed the NVSurround Distortion
But do I loose my AA using this fix, or is it something on my end causing no AA when I have this activated?
Re: LM fixed the NVSurround Distortion
Because of conpression you will see shimmering and AA loss at certain angles.
From close up I have no issue.
In the far distance when banking I see the shimmering and AA loss from time to time.
I am sure LM will look further in the fix.
Btw : there are also other fixes in the same menu. Perhaps one of them solves it...

Re: LM fixed the NVSurround Distortion
Can u explain what this does? I don’t understand . Are u saying that in wingview mode it looks true wideview compared to the default camera definition view? I don’t understand
Thanks
Thanks
Re: LM fixed the NVSurround Distortion
This corrects the overstretched sides when using a view that is stretched over 2-3 monitors.
Re: LM fixed the NVSurround Distortion
I am assuming this fix works wonders for those of us building flight simulators.
We can now use one visual generator (one computer, one P3D application) spanning over 2 or 3 projector outputs and there will be no distortion / corrected FOV.

Re: LM fixed the NVSurround Distortion
What FOV do you need for the three projectors - 150 degrees (extreme limit for NVSurround - single projection view) or more. Most three projector systems want to see about 210 degrees so you can look straight down either wing.

Re: LM fixed the NVSurround Distortion
Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but I would hardly call it a miracle "fix".
I think the OP is exaggerating the effectiveness a lot here, and on other forums.
Anything over 100FOV still gets distorted, coupled with a loss of image quality.
Try it...
