Win 10 KB4038788 Update crashes my P3D v3

After spending all day Sunday “playing” with this mess, I discovered something!
Starting with a “fresh” ( all folders with inputs to V3 removed) install of V3, then loading VRS Tackpac, and no add on a/c, all worked. Then I installed the A1H, ALL WORKS GREAT!
If I install the vrs FA-18E, Razbm A7,SWS F4, F-100D – child window error. Just removing the a/c doesn’t cure the problem. A “clean” of all V3 must be done again, and another install.

It seems that the error has connection to add on A/c. :(

From my case, i have tried something similar (hello Pop !). After complete uninstall and fresh install, P3D works fine. After install VRS Tacpack and VRS SB, P3D gave me the "Error child window message" and crashed. At this moment, VRS was the only addon on P3D (no scenery, no other A/C).
LM could "approch" VRS and ask for a license to test the system. Isn't it ?
Just a thought.

The only stable solution is to return in Windows7. I did that and i'm flying without problems....if Microsoft resolve this problem (i think never) i will come back to 10!! until then Windows7.....

If it is resolved by Microsoft as part of a “patch Tuesday” update then you may have a wait ahead

It is my understanding that the next one isn't scheduled for release until 12 December 2017 as they occur on the second Tuesday of each month

Microsoft will release a fix for the child window error in an update on December 12th. This problem was introduced in the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709).

I am going to temporarily lock this thread until the next Microsoft update is released. It will be reopened on the 12th to verify the fixes in the upcoming Windows update.

Update released by MS today KB4051963 for 1709 systems. Does it fix the Child Window errors? I am not at my PC to check but anxious to find out. Please unlock the main thread on this issue now as the update is live.

I thought the KB4051963 is the Dec update, it is not. It is released on Nov 30 so I don't think this is the update we've been waiting for.

I have the same issue after upgrading to 1709, and I don't see any updates in my win update, is the fix out, or do I have to download it manually from MS?

Just downloaded the latest update from Windows (10) ... (Dec 12, 2017), IS3 still crashes upon startup of IS3. Too bad, really disappointing.
