PMDG P3D v3 crash after few hours

Hi ,

I don't have any real problems with the v3 version , only 1 .
After cruising over the ocean in the PMDG 777 for a few hours i tried to pop up the PFD screen for changing the baro settings , when i clicked the PFD , P3D crashed,

This has happened to me a few tinmes allready , if i keep using the controls during flight or pop up the screens everything works as it should , but after cruising for a few hours without touching or changing something P3D crashes when i try to pop up the displays .

just reinstalled P3D again , took off KIAH and now above the ocean when i tried to pop up the pfd crash again...error code MSVcr120.dll

Googled it , reinstalled VCRedist_x86.exe, VCRedist_x64.exe but no luck ,

Hi,
I'd like to investigate whether this issue is caused by:

• (a) the PFD screen on the PMDG 777. Once determined, we will figure out whether it is likely to be caused by PMDG or by our software
  (b) an issue in the simulation software irrespective of the PMDG 777 or potentially panels.

The questions I have are:

• (1) Does the application ever crash when you are not using the PFD screen?
  
  • If yes, in what cases? Can you list: computer details (OS version, GPU, CPU) and add-ons (scenery, vehicles, etc)
  (2) If it only crashes while using the PFD screen then: Do you have to use the application for a period of time or can you crash the application in the PFD screen without flying around?

I have not tracked the source for this yet. I have six sessions with v3 and three of them terminated with a CTD and this event in the Event Viewer. Too bad the lookup for event 1000 is useless, all it means is maybe a stack overflow. However, only P3D, ASN and couatl are running on my machine that use the Visual Studio 2013 Visual C++ Runtime Library, which is what MSVCR120.dll actually is.

I can reproduce. Just fly for more than two hours and click on any click spot in the cockpit. PMDG uses VS 2010 so it's unlikely them but I'll check it regardless.

I am fishing for anybody else that is experiencing v3 CTDs and has observed the same faulting module with the P3Dv3 application. Anybody?

The sim crashes whenever i push a button in the vc or pop up a screen and 3 hours ago the sim crashed while i was doing nothing at all but with the same error

my pc:

Windows 7 64
i74790K
MSI gtx980 lightning
16 gb

addons running only P3d ASN PMDG77W vpilot traffic proxy and fs dreamteam KIAH,

nothing more is installed on this pc as it is my gaming pc , ASN is running from my laptop together with v pilot client for vatsim

right now reinstalling for the 5 time ....

I have a test flight I can run repeatedly while only changing one or two things. One thing I noticed is that if I run the flight at a higher sim rate than x1 it isn't occurring so maybe this only happens after a few hours. My test flight is about 3 hrs KDFW-KSFO. I'm running it now without ASN. We'll see what happens.

Please update either here or AVSIM if you have a discovery.

right now i m reinstalling v3 together with ASN after reinstalling visual c 2103 and going to do a flight in the morning ,
Have spoking a lot of other user who don t have any problems BUT are only flying short flights , if i restart with FSUIPC save i can fly for a long time again but after that...CTD

Running ASN btw over network .

I've eliminated ASN I believe. Ran the test flight with no ASN and P3D clear weather and about 2 hrs into flight a click on the L CDU resulted in a CTD with same event info as others.

Trying a few other things now.

Just finished installing v3 , PMDG 777 , ASN and FSUIPC again , latest version 4.497D . nothing else

Just airborne heading EHAM from KIAH , default scenery , event logbooks cleared ,

going to let the plane do auto stepclimbs without touching it for a while , normally it occurs after a while so gonna try to get some sleep , it s allready 0141 here so , set my clock at 0400

V3 also crashed on me on a cross-country flight with the PMDG 737 while I was sleeping. Turned my monitor back on to see P3D no longer running. I too recently installed Orbx Global and this was my first flight with it installed. I checked the log file and it didn't provide viable crash information.

update ...let it fly without touching anything , p3d stops working with the same error after 3.19 hours into flight , gonna try the same flight with fsuipc uninstalled

Hi it s not orbx wich crashes the sim.

Just tried a flight kiah eham with default scenery after reinstalling P3d with only PMDG ASN and FSUIPC installed , without touching the controls or pushing ant buttons P3d just stopped working
