Hi,
I started working on a shader mod, which brings shader-based procedural skies into non-EA mode. I believe it will be helpful for people who have previous versions of P3D and therefore cannot use EA.
Here are a few very early (WIP) screenshots:
This is not a sky color replacement, it completely overrides default sky with a shader-based procedural one using real-life scattering equations.

I have a question on your technique, are you able to derive cloud position and export it somehow?
