A couple of screenshot comparisons for a new Project that I am working on showing the difference between default Generic Scenery and 15m Imagery produced at three Levels Of Detail LOD. ie Generic below the aircraft, a blend between this and imagery at LOD 12 and then imagery at LOD 11 further out. A good low cost scenery alternative that covers large areas with "real" world scenery at altitude and higher detail generic terrain textures at points of departure and arrival.
Default Scenery inside Turkey NW of Iran
Composite Scenery
Default Scenery near the Straits of Hormuz
Composite Scenery
Iran Composite Scenery
Re: Iran Composite Scenery
I look forward to seeing the finished scenery, I love flying in the middle east and there's virtually no decent scenery for it

Stunning difference!

Re: Iran Composite Scenery
Only the southern coastline to complete! Some manual work here.
Here is a good example of the blending. The sim is v5.1 and the location is the SW corner of the Caspian Sea.
Just over 8,000ft. The "Blend Layer" at LOD12 can be seen around the nose of panel. Autogen starts to bleed through here. Above the panel is 15m Imagery.
The following screenshot shows the three layers, Default just above the panel, blend above this with autogen bleed through then imagery further out. Altitude is 4,600ft
