I have multiple programs, including Prepar3d running on the same machine. Unfortunately, when other applications attempt to the socket, they cannot bind because Prepar3d has taken up the socket and will not allow others to use this socket. Although I understand that this can be problematic when NOT in multicast mode because there no guarantee on which application gets the packet, but it should be allowable when using multicast as each application receives the data bound for that port.
