Should I have this installed - "Prepar3D v5 Academic" ?

Post by adl320 »

I recently updated to the latest 5.2 P3D release. I uninstalled the client, content, and scenery and installed the new versions. In the instructions I see reference to only three programs which I also have in my "add-remove programs" section for P3D:

Prepar3D v5 Academic Client (5.2.22.27615) 420 MB (7/2/2021)
Prepar3D v5 Content (5.2.22.27615) 14.3 GB (7/2/2021)
Prepar3D v5 Scenery (5.2.22.27615) 31.0 GB (7/2/2021)

But in my case, I also have this installed and it looks like an old version. Should I have this? Based on the size, it seems like the base program but the version is old. Not sure if I need to update it somehow or do I need to start all over again with a fresh install to get the install correct?

Prepar3D v5 Academic (5.1.8.26742) 68.4 GB (11/3/2020)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi adl320
All is correct for you.
No necessity for updating something else.
Run P3D and, in the menu bar, go to Help / About LM...
You will see 5.2.22.27615 which is the last Client version (5.2HF1).
