V5.1 not updated correctly, v No not updated

Post by steven_444 »

Good afternoon team, I hope everyone is fit and well. I realise I am some what late to the party. I have attempted to update my V5 install. as i have done in all cased previously, by running the installer, and letting it do its thing. Normally this works for me.
The thing is it's not clear it has worked, the installer tool says congrats new version installed etc. however in the help / about the version displayed is the previous version (5.0.31.3253), not (5.1.12.26829). Do I have to uninstall and re install.
As a side issue will this fix the non appearing ATC window. set to display in OPTION, message text is checked, and using the Navigation tool bar to select it, adds a check in the box, but fails to display it. it worked before I tried to do the update........

I'm not a VR user, the threads I have seen regarding the ATC window, seem to be about location of the pop up relative to the VR display. So not applicable.

Thanks in advance.

Steve J

Michel, Hi and thank you for your reply,
I had not seen this post. I have now uninstalled the earlier version, and re installed the newer one, it fixed the issue and a flight has been completed.

Many thanks
Best wishes,
Steve J.
