Can default aircraft be deleted if not used?

Sure. My solution to keeping the list of vehicles limited to what I fly (other than the Mooney I don't fly any of the default stuff) is to create a subdirectory in the simobjects\airplane directory named LMHangar and I move all of the default stuff there. It takes a few minutes and you are done until the next time you update content. It is not a bad idea to keep the default F-22 around for those rare occasions where P3D loads into it's virtual visibility mode.
