Seperate nosewheel steering control

Post by kand »

Please can you give the option within the airfile to separate the rudder control from the nosegear steering, they are currently linked which is fine for small GA but not for larger aircraft.

I am aware that FSUIPC can simulate a tiller but for serious simulations it needs more finesse and control.

many thanks

You are correct in that Prepar3D has no mechanism to separate the rudder pedals and steering. You can however implement a tiller directly with the KEY_STEERING_SET key event. This input is currently added to that provided by the rudder input.

@Mike Schroeter Given your personal flight dynamics expertise and actually having been a flight instructor yourself could you please add these as separate mechanisms in a future version. Better dynamics to accurately simulate spins and stalls for SEP aircraft would be amazing.

One of the main things that would be greatly appreciated is the Flight Dynamics improvement in drag, lift and thrust actual moveable physics on the aircraft.

Thanks
