Multiplayer formation

Postby Josubla » Fri Jun 03, 2016 5:49 pm

Hello,
Me and my friends are trying to do formation in Prepar3D V3.2 (Multiplayer). When we approach each other at a certain distance the other planes get shaky, is there any solution to this problem? Can we change the refresh rate? We tried opening the ports of the hosts router but it says unable to connect.

I have seen this efect before , but now I fly with a group P3D 3.2.2 and have not seen it, will try again and pay attention,. One thing that can cause it is Flooding ( by AC model) the system gets very busy and cant send data fast enough to the video card, another is Video driver , another is Internnet speed and bandwidth.

For flooding check this
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... pub?gid=11
it will tell you if the AC are OK.
I use the latest 368.22 Nvidia driver.

What AC are you using??

Josubla,

Are you flying Shared Cockpit (two people in the same aircraft) in the L39 Albatros and flying Multiplayer (more than aircraft) at the same time?

Thank you in advance.

No, only one person on one plane.

We have a good conection and I was thinkong that perhaps is a problem of Hamachi? We fly with Hamachi to create a LAN Server.

Hey, make sure you are using the L39 that is been made for Multiplayer...look in the manual...

Breitling L-39 Breit 2009 Form L-39 Vjazma Form

Jorge

ps From the manual...
Special multiplayer formation team model (front cockpit only, no bump
maps, reduced feature set, very high performance external model)
NOTE: This model is intended for use only by large online formation
teams or those with very marginal performance computers.
This aircraft has all of the same systems functionality as normal variants,
but very few special effects. It is not recommended for singleplayer or
normal multiplayer flight.

PSPS.. No need to use anythingbut P3D multiplayer setup, look in thid forum for some advise from me how to set it up...

Nothing, with the multiplayer version of the plane we have the same problem

I recorded a video for you https://youtu.be/uaROVTvWoiE

Our internet connection is ok, we fly with hamachi, perhaps that is the problem? We tried with opened ports but it said connection error.

Shared Cockpit is best (most secure) via Port Forwarding.

Here is some great info on flying Shared Cockpit (the aircraft you're flying was made to be shared cockpit capable).

Make sure you and the other pilot are both set to the same target frame rate. I lock to 30 ... this fixes any shakiness between multiplayer formation flying in any aircraft.
