hallo to all :D

we are an it-system house in germany and we maintain an company which have professional flight simulator’s for customers use.

Now they will add a new Learjet simulator with prepar3d.

One of the new PC´s will control the graphic environment with 3x HD beamer´s

for output device. I think therefor we need a max on cpu and gpu power. What is your proposal for the system hardware, we thought about an intel mainboard DX79SI and an intel CORE I7-3930K 3.20GHZ 16 GB ram and 3x AMD RADEON HD7970-3GD5 PCI-E 3.0. Controlled by Win 7 pro. Will this configuration run good, or do you have some other ideas?

In my experience, multiple high-end GPUs will pretty well destroy the simulation.

Take one 7970 - that is enough and three will not help, but cause many problems. I recommend you put the OS and P3D onto a solid state drive, that makes stuttering a thing of the past. 16GB I see no need for, The OS needs one, P3D needs less than 3, even if you run som clients you never need more than 5, so still have a lot of disk cache active - which you do not really need if you have a SSD.
