Varjo Aero VR-Headset on p3d v4.5

Hello,

is the Varjo Aero VR-Headset fully compatible with p3d v4.5?

Will it run on "Varjo Base" software ( as on p3d v5 ), or does it require steamvr ( which I assume won´t be possible )?
