Prepar 4 and AMD cards

Post by AkhiMertail »

Hello,
I am writing to inquire as to Prepar 4.5/5 will work with AMD graphics cards. I am going to get a new desktop that I need to use to run Windows and mac os for my work, but I also enjoy flight simulation. If this is possible, do let me know, so that I can proceed with getting the new equipment.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Both versions of P3D will work with AMD cards.

However, if the card you get is a 6800XT or more recent, and you have P3D v. 5, there have been issues seemingly linked to whether the card is overclocked. Overclocking is many times done by the OEMs, but it seems that putting the clock rate back to AMD's recommended rate takes care of the issue.

AMD card owners are more than welcome to voice their opinions.

WRONG WRONG. I’m still getting dxgi set at 2015mhz. U know what that means jorgen? LM has to come up with a nice big juicy update. People don’t get ur hopes up cuz this sim is very fragile. If u sneeze it will crash.

Wrong me here and wrong me there... maybe, just maybe it is AMD who needs to come with a juicy new driver, just like nVidia did for the same issue.
