Re: Still getting Dxgi
I too cannot fly 5.1HF1. DXGI almost 100% of the time. It has zero to do with my system. 6800XT GPU.
Pretty sad I had to purchase 4.5 just to fly.
Just in case anyone else wants to try, I have 14 completed flights in a row using this method and I do understand not everyone has the old installer and LM will not give them to anyone because I myself have asked for 5.1 before the hotfix.
I did a complete uninstall of everything P3D to include all sceneries and aircraft, etc.
I restarted my computer and installed P3D 5.0.31.35253. I then opened the sim for initial loading and then closed the sim. I uninstalled just the CLIENT version 5.0.31.35253. Reinstalled CLIENT only for 5.1 HF1 (5.1.12.26829).
Another computer restart, added aircraft, all of my ORBX and sceneries. I have no DXGI using this configuration and trust me I have tried many many different ways and wasted countless hours trying everything.
Hope this can help someone.

Re: Still getting Dxgi
Thank you for the suggestion, Ray. I'll give it a try.
I just wanted to chime in and say I have also been facing this dreaded DXGI issue on P3D v5.1 HF1. I've tried a few things to no avail to resolve it.
In the best case, I've only been able to reduce its frequency (and other CTDs like ntdll.dll, facilities.dll, mso20win32client.dll) by clearing the DirectX shader cache before starting the sim every time I want to fly. For now, I've just been sticking to aircraft that do complex state saving (i.e., PMDG, Leonardo, etc.) and use FSUIPC's auto-save function. I can usually get between 30-60 minutes of flight time before seeing the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error. I sincerely hope there's an update or at least a statement released related to this soon since I am otherwise really enjoying what v5 has to offer.
It's also worth noting that I recently switched my GPU from a GeForce RTX 2080 to a Radeon RX 6800 XT, but I encountered this issue with both cards.
Other system specs are as follows:
32 GiB DDR4
AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
P3D installed to 500GB SSD

Still get them here too. Unfortunately it has made P3D unusable until it is sorted.

@ pommy80 ,
Daniel,
Which P3D product did you purchase?
Did you just install P3D today?
Is P3D in a default state now?

Re: Still getting Dxgi
I purchased p3d and the latest version months ago. I had it working fine under my old graphics card (Radeon 5700XT 8GB) but ever since I changed to my new one, the errors keep occurring.
I haven’t uninstalled p3d and reinstalled, as I have done this many times in the past, and with all of my addons, quite frankly I really don’t want to do that again. Like I said I never had a problem until I installed my new graphics card (and yes my drivers are up to date).

Re: Still getting Dxgi
Hey,
My P3D V5 is useless, I can't complete a flight without DXGI at the end. Sometimes I am lucky to complete one or two flights before I get DXGI again.
I have tried every single trick I can think of to prevent it but they just keep coming. Will DXGI be fixed in next version of P3D 5.2? If not then 5.2 is just as useless for me as V5 is now.

Re: Still getting Dxgi
Does anybody even bother to check what the common denominator here is?
Apart from erikac, who has not reported what his graphics card is yet, all here with problems have an AMD 6800XT or newer AMD card.
Moreover, one user reported that his older AMD card was working fine.
nVidia fixed these issues on their side with a new driver. Maybe AMD should do the same?

Re: Still getting Dxgi
I sent a report to AMD like 100 times. It’s still the same . What’s the piont sending them the report if it doesn’t get fixed. And secondly and this is the 10th time I’m saying this I do not I repeat DO NOT get this error in FS2020 or any other games. Only in p3d. So what does that tell u? It’s LM problem to fix there broken sim. And third I see people gettin the same error to with the 3080 as well. When I was running 4.5 at the time it was stable. Please don’t point the fingers at the graphics card when u should point it at the LM developers.

Re: Still getting Dxgi
I will repeat this for I don't know which time - if this was a problem with P3D, then I would not be able to run it either, so stop that nonsense.
The problem reported does not exist for users with nVidia graphics cards, or for users with older AMD graphics cards. And that is a fact that you cannot get around, no matter how much you complain about it being a P3D issue.
The finger is pointing directly to AMD, and nowhere else. Now, whether this is a driver issue or (God forbid) a problem with the hardware architecture in those new cards, I don't know. But, if you recall, it took a little while for nVidia to fix the DXGI issue with their drivers, AMD needs time also.
You could, of course, complain to your vendor and say that this ****** AMD card does not work as advertised, get me a nVidia card instead......
