HARWARE SPECIFIC Questions

Post by 3257691 »

I recently downloaded and purchased the 1 Month Prepaid Prepare 3D Professional Software and the second I load the simulator I can get an error message telling me:

"Your dedicated graphics memory has run out......"

Is there any clear and concise steps I can take to solve this issue that way I can fully use the simulation and go on flights.

I am using this on a Lenovo Yoga Latest Version
Thank you in advance.

The designation "Lenovo Yoga" covers a whole range of models.

Can you give us the hardware specifications for your particular model?

My laptop is the Lenovo Yoga 7th Gen 720 (15") and has the NVIDEA GEFORCE GTX 1050 Graphics.

Dimensions 14.3" x 9.5" x 0.75" / 364 x 242 x 19 (mm)
Weight 4.4 lbs (1.99 kg)
Color Platinum Silver

I hope this helps, not sure what other specifications you were asking for. I hope this could address the problems and get me some clear steps in how to get my P3D V5 to run properly with no issues.

The problem is this laptop's i7-7700HQ CPU, which runs at a base clock rate of 2.8 GHz, below the minimum required clock rate of 3.0 GHz.

The systems requirements can be found here:

https://www.prepar3d.com/system-requirements/

The processor has a "turbo" clock rate of 3.8 GHz, but it will only be able to maintain that speed for a limited amount of time, until its cooling and/or electrical limits are reached, after which the processor will go back to 2.8 GHz to protect itself.

You will need a system with a sustained base clock rate at and preferably over 3.0 GHz.

Sorry to have to tell you this -

Also, the GTX 1050 card only has 2GB of VRAM, which is only half of the minimum requirement.
