Just a quick techie question.
Currently have an i5-10400 processor, 32GB Ram, RTX3080ti (which I recently bought) and still getting very poor frame rates.
Would upgrading my processor help? If so, which one.
I have Orbx installed and all libraries arranged in order.
The sliders are to the left and getting around 7-12 fps in a PMDG T7 and the same in QW787.
Very poor frame rates
Re: Very poor frame rates
Let's go over the trivials first:
1. Is Windows (10 or 11, doesn't matter here) fully updated? Including the "Updates for other Microsoft products"?
2. The graphics driver updated?
3. Drivers and BIOS for your motherboard updated?
4. What version of P3D?
5. Clock rate of your CPU?

Re: Very poor frame rates
The CPU clock speed is the problem, it is actually below the minimum specified is the system requirements.
You should look into overclocking your CPU, at least to over 4 GHz and preferably to over 4.5 GHz, and also, after the overclocking is done, look into creating a XMP profile for your RAM.
Both these topics can be searched on the web.
Also, go here: https://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv4/prepar3d ... ation.html
And here: https://simmershome.de/prepare3d-v5-einstellungen/ (this site is in German, but there is an English-language option)
To calculate your AffinityMask, use this: http://izn-flightsim.s3-website-us-east ... inity.html
And just to make sure, check your prepar3d,cfg and make sure there is only the entry for your present graphics card there.
