I would recommend a G-Sync (NVIDIA) or Freesync (AMD) capable monitor, depending on your graphics card.
I bought a Freesync and G-Sync compatible LG monitor 34" curved (3440x1440) two years ago and would never miss it, neither for P3D nor for working in home-office.

It's not only the "big view" but (together with VSYNC OFF, frame rate locked to 30 Hz by RTSS and G-Sync set to full screen in my 2070 Super) a nearly stutter free, smooth flying experience
