@ MatthijsRoothans ,
Which P3D product and full product version xxxyyy number?

Have you tested with the P3D default flight without Add-ons running?

Thank you everyone for your help, sadly still having problems.

The AffinityMask did reduce my cpu usage overall, but still having the same problem. My CPU has some weird spikes in its usage, it goes from 20% to 90% in a second, and than it reduces back to like 30 and jumps back to 90%, this goes on and on, this has an result of temperature spikes, going up to 95 degrees, wicch results in my motherboard giving the warning.

The version im running: Prepar3D v5.2 SDK 5.2.22.27615 (it should be the latest version released)

@ MatthijsRoothans ,

Do you use a custom sound / speaker setup?

Do you use "wireless" products like wireless keyboard or wireless headset ?

@ MatthijsRoothans ,

For testing go back to wired products.

Just did some testing with turboboost disabled. This kinda fixed the problem. I know have temps around 60 degrees. The only thing now is the peformance loss :/ flying around with 25 fps :/

Is this with the AffinityMask set, and how is Hyperthreading set?

I tried to do the AffinityMask=21845. It helped a little bit but not so much. Hyperthreading is enabled in the bios.

@ MatthijsRoothans ,

I have my FPS locked at 29 and I get 29 FPS when the default P3D flight is loaded.
Can you test with a default setup (no tweeks) using locked FPS 29 and the default flight?

Have you tested with non-wireless products e.g. wired Headset , wired mouse etc?

it isnt the wireless products, I tested that. Ill do a flight this evening with AA turned off (none). Someone told me that should make a big difference. IF that doesnt work ill try to lock the fps. Ill tell you guys later on how the testing went :)

For your CPU, AffinityMask should be 65532 with Hyperthreading on, 254 with Hyperthreading off.

Try those and see what happens.

Jorgen

PS: I fail to see whatever wireless keyboards etc. has to do with CPU temperatures, but I have probably only been a hardware technician too long....

Okay, turning off AA has helped a little, but still the problem isnt fixed :/

I tried this: CPU, AffinityMask should be 65532 with Hyperthreading on, 254 with Hyperthreading off. Also with no effect.

The only thing that has helped is turning off turbobooster till now, but when i do that i have very very bad frames :(

I hope there is maybe another thing i can try, but i just guess my cooler isnt strong enought.

@ MatthijsRoothans ,

Has your CPU run with normal temperatures in past months or did you just now install P3Dv5 and notice the CPU temperature problem?

“ turning off AA has helped a little”
What is AA?

Have you had a chance to do a test with
P3D default (F-35A at KVPS)
without Add-ons running
FPS locked at 29
