2 video cards

Post by Ric331 »

Hello

I did run P3D v5 without any issue for some month.
I did then install a GT710 to get more FPS on my GTX 1060 switching add-ons to GT710 (enough power for this)
It has worked without any issue
Then I had to uninstall and reinstall P3Dv5
Since that time I get P3D working only in night..... impossible to switch to daytime
I did ask on this forum but without any relevant answer
What I found :
1) launch P3D
2) deactivate GT710
3) Answer "No" to P3D question to stop P3D trying to use GT710
4) Then P3D works perfectly and GT710 as well. Untill next start .....

Question : Why P3D is not asking ONCE and remember the choice.
GT710 is not DX12 compatible so it might be visible for P3D at start.

If I am not wrong, I think this issue has to be adressed by LM.

Thank you for reading this post.

That is because the GT 710 only has 2 GB of VRAM.

P3D v. 5 requires 4 GB of VRAM.

Hi Ric331
If you have 2 video cards, go to Options / Display.
In the right side, full Screen Settings / Display, select the video card you want to use.

Thks Michel
I did it and settings is OK, but seems P3D even starting on GTX1060 screen try using GT710.
That is only on start, when activating GT710 after P3D running, he does not matter.
Strange.....

Obviously. Tks for answer Jorgen
I do start P3D on screen linked to GTX1060 not GT710
If I switch off GT710, start P3D then restart GT710 it works.....
Why does P3Dv5 matters about GT710... No issue with P3Dv4

System requirements is the answer.

V. 4 only requires 2 GB of VRAM on the card.

In the Windows control panel, is your screen with the GTX 1060 setted as screen 1?

@ Ric331 ,

Why do you have two GPU cards installed?
