@ mfueeg ,

Did that headset come with the PC?

Windows Start (lower left corner of desktop).
Type device manager
select device manager
from the list (at the top)
select / click on Audio ....
Do a screenshot.

@ mfueeg ,

Basically, that is why I asked if you had a custom sound setup.

As a quick test:
Uninstall / Remove it .

Shut down / turn the PC off.

Turn the PC on

Plug in / Install the original speakers sound system.

Test WIN10 sound. Should be ok.

Reboot PC

Start P3D, load the default flight and test again.

If you are in the flight with low FPS, when you turn the sound off (hit the letter Q) do the framerates jump up?

@ mfueeg ,

Ok, your custom sound setup (headset purchase) is the problem.

Did it come with instructions / drivers?
Does it have technical support?

Do you have old "standard USB speakers" you can use for now?

Mfueeg,

You have two sound systems on your computer, Realtek and nVidia.

Which of those do the internal speakers use, and which does the headset use?

Please note that the internal speakers are probably hard-wired to one of them.

I have both Realtek and nVidia on my own system, Realtek on the motherboard and nVidia on my graphics card. And the nVidia one is not.... er, shall we say not nearly as good as the Realtek.
