V5.2 dxgi

Post by Mb944 »

I got the dxgi error on takeoff at cyyz rwy 23. D3DDRED2. Everything is updated. How do I disable the HTML menu. People are saying that stoped the crashes. Where is it located?

@ Mb944 ,

Use Scaleform instead of HTML5, originally posted by Rob McCarthy (Prepar3D® Core Lead) here:

https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopi ... 4&start=30

“We're actively working on a fix for these issues. Any additional information on ways to reproduce these issues is extremely helpful. If you are seeing issues with the context menu specifically you can force the system to use the old scaleform menu by renaming the AppMenu.html file in the Prepar3D v5/HTML5 directory. This will force Preapr3D to fall back to using scaleform for the menu bar and context menu.”

How do I use the scaleform? What do I have to do? This error is always D3DDRED2. That’s the only error I get.
Some time I get application error. But 90% D3D one. How can it get solved? Even in5.1 I was getting a lot of those errors when I had the old red texts on the top left corner. So if they go back to that will that’s solve the Dxgi ? I just have a bad feeling this error will never get fixed
