When you save it , tick the Set Default Flight button at the bottom of the save screen...P3D will start with that saved flight active.

If you want to start with a flight that isn't the default flight. Instead of double-clicking the P3D application Icon browse to your Saved Flights. They are usually in

C:\Users\YOUR-NAME\Documents\Prepar3D Files

Double-Click the required '.FLT' file. If they are not already associated withe Prepar3D.exe then you'll need to create the association.

For the future you could create a shortcut to your Prepar3D Files (saved flights).

Alternatively you could use the Freeware program 'SimLauncher'

Simlauncher is excellent, I would also advise this.

It works with FSX too.

Make sure you download and install MakeRwys from

http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

save this file to your Prepar3D folder and run as admistrator before installing Simlauncher

which can be downloaded from

(Free registration required).

Just a note. The author of Simlauncher does not suggest version 4.6.12 but 4.6.14 of Makerunways available from Pete Dowson's support forum

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136- ... -programs/

Version 4.6.12 slows the program start considerably.

1. Just for info : The direct link to simlauncher does not work .. I had to search the library for it ... and found it ok.

2. why is MakeRwys needed?

It is the way the program(SimLauncher) can read the RW in your Sim to set up your start point.
