5.2 Enhanced atmopsheric

Post by ivansf »

Dear colleagues,

I had installed P3D 5.2 and i can say that finally EA is having some real improvement. I am quiet satisfied however i am having one issue which i hope someone can give answer on it.

As seen on the picture in not quite far distance its presence of i would call it haze, but it looks like a foam Looks like a layer which is around the ground. Although the weather is clear skies not some major clouds around. I am using Active Sky in combination with REX.

P3D settings regarding EA are as follows:
1. Volumetric clouds: ULTRA
2.Volumetric fog: ON
3.Windshield effects: ON
4.Turbulence and thermal effects: ON
5.Thermal visulations: NONE
6.Godrays: OFF
7.Amortize clouds: OFF

Appreciate if someone is having similar issue to share solution if available.

Thanks for assistance.

Cheers!

I do not like how the haze is handle in P3D it looks very unrealistic, i hope this will be improved in future version maybe something like we can see in MS2020.

These are some pictures with the same problem the haze looks like a layer line. This is with the default weather from P3D V5 "Cold Fronts".

On other forums, it is suggested that VC not be used. Give that a try and see if it makes any difference. Similarly, the haze line in the distance has been a nagging problem as noted in other forums. See Avsim/P3D among others.
