Crashes in the menu

Post by MatthijsRoothans »

I have a really weird problem, so most of the times my p3dv5 is just crashing in the menu, for example when i wanna take a plane or select an airport. This happens nearly every time when i load up p3d. It happens 1/2 times in a row and than everything works perfectly? really weird. I did some test longhauls to see if my sim runs stable and it hasnt crashed in 4 days or so, i guess its stable. So my p3d works really well, just in the menu where i have a ton of crashes? Ill put the error down below.

This code in your log:

Uitzonderingscode: 0xc0000005

means that something - most likely an incompatible or badly programmed add-on - is attempting to write to an area of RAM where it has no access rights.

You will probably find the culprit in one of the most recently added add-ons.

do you maybe know a addon where this happens alot? the weird thing is that p3d works after it crashed 1/2 times in the menu? IF its due to an addon i would expect it to not work?

The exception code only says that someone/something tried to write to an area of RAM where it has no rights. and USUALLY it is caused by an add-on.

However, since it happens at the menu, and IF you have a nVidia graphics adapter, you might want to check your graphics driver version.

yeah i would expect its an nvidia driver problem, i currently have an rtx 2070 super trio, is there maybe a version of drivers you would recommend to try out?

Version 461.xx seems to be the latest version that works, the two versions after that have issues. nVidia is working on it.

I do not know anything about flychrone, but for both, try checking that you do have a v. 5-compatible version, and also try not to have it running when you start P3D and see what happens.

it is so weird i have no idea whats going on, the last thing only happens when streaming? The other crashes are always when i load in or just when im in the menu, when it crashes 2 times in a row everything works suddenly perfectly? also when im in the sim also runs (so far) really smoothly without any crashes? I have no idea what to do?
