P3D V5 nvwgf2umx.dll

Post by StevenSilva »

Yesterday I was getting a "ntdll.dll" error but this one managed to solve it with the reinstallation of a "GSX" plugin. My P3D has always run fine with medium high settings and I have had cleaner performance than in V4.4 but today I made a flight and without any apparent cause my P3D had a very bad performance so I eliminated P3D. CFG had very sharp pulls. I decided to enter some values into the clean .CFG just created by P3D.exe when it was run and I wanted to perform some tricks that helped me a lot in the V4.4 version and from there it gives me an error "nvwgf2umx.dll" I have reinstalled the drivers the GPU, I have performed the sfc analysis and it does not throw me any error below I will leave the link of the forum and the modification that I make because even if I delete the .CFG my p3d does not work

StevenSilva,

What graphics card do you have, and is it overclocked?

im still pretty sure this is a Driver oder Hardware crash
the nvwgf2umx.dll is part of Nvidias driver
if you delete your p3d.cfg it will be rewritten at the next start - so your "tweaks" are gone too

I was having the same problem - CTD right after the splash screen and while the scenario screen was attempting to load.

I rolled back to the previous Nvidia driver (461.92), restarted, and now P3D runs fine.

@ StevenSilva ,

LM is working with Nvidia on the 465.89 driver issue and recommends staying on the previous 461.92 driver in the meantime.
