Stuttering scenery

Postby mleuck » Sat Sep 26, 2020 3:07 pm

I just did a clean install of P3dv4.5. I installed FSLAbs A320 and tried a flight from LIRN-EGKK (stock airports). All went well until I approached northern France and (as if I did not have enough issues) the sim started to start and stop. It would move normally for about 3 seconds, stop and restart with the same behavior. After about 5 minutes, I got a BSOD with an error DPC Watchdog Violation.

Please someone help! I am about to give up on P3d as all I have are problems. Reminder....this was a clean install with only the FSLAbs A320 installed.

Any help will be greatly appreciated and may save my life!

@ mleuck,

Windows error.
DPC Watchdog Violation.

P3Dv4.5 xxxx version?

Test flight with default aircraft.

To try to isolate what is causing the CTD
Look in the Windows Event Viewer and get the
Faulting Module Name
example:

Thank you for the quick reply. As always, no data is placed in the event viewer. I have no errors reported.

OK, did the recommended HD fixes and all went very well until on final at EGKK. Then, six miles out, a CTD. Once again, no data in the event viewer or appcrashview.

I am going crazy with this!

It looks like the error "moved" from an OS problem to an application problem.

Did you note down the time when the error happened?

If not, provoke the error again, and be sure to note the time when it happens.

Now, go into Event Viewer as previously shown, and in there scroll to around the time the error happened. In one of the messages from around that time there now should be something with a "Failing module". Copy and then paste that message here.

Success!!!

I decided to uninstall all my W10 updates and guess what....all is fine now. I actually completed a flight without issue.

Windows10 is so great! No!!!!

Most unusual, but if it works for you, then good!

Happy flying -
