P3Dv5 - Antialiasing Enhanced Atmospherics

Post by nikki2048 »

Hello,
firstly I am relatively new to the forums, and as such may have missed an already existing thread about this topic - apologies if so.
When testing P3Dv5, which in my eyes has lots of potential, flying the QW787 out of ESSA through clouds yielded an antialiasing "bug" that I would like to further explain.

Image
This only happens when the wing or any external surface of the aircraft is directly before a cloud rendered by TrueSky. Furthermore, this issue does not seem to appear when flying from the virtual cockpit at all, however also appears over vegetation (trees touching low-level clouds).

EDIT: Running at 4k with no AA.

Thank you in advance for your help. :)
Kind Regards

Yes, that is the point of the title: "Enhanced Atmospherics" :)
I was wanting to make the development team aware of this (if they're not already) in order for them to (hopefully) fix it soon.

Since LM has released version 6, it's not likely that V5 will be updated. Since I don't represent LM at all, I could be completely wrong. Just my opinion based on previous experience.

It would seem that any and all development on v. 5 ceased when v. 6 came out.
