Can the VR "White Tracking Dot" be Turned Off

I'm currently running P3DV4.5 and wanted to disable the white dot seen in VR that tracks head movement.

Is there a way to disable or toggle the white dot on and off?

I find it very distracting to the VR experience. I never lock the mouse cursor to my head gaze and simply move the larger mouse cursor dot to the bottom of my cockpit out of sight. When I need to use the mouse I move it into sight and locate the item I need to interface with.

Also I don't recall the white dot always being visible in version 4.4

The white dot is actually a mouse cursor and if I move it out of sight it stays there pretty much.
Would it be possible to provide a toggle for this to appear and disappear in a future rev just like FlyInside does?
