Flight Plan ETA Fuel Burn Error

Postby Davio » Thu Jul 19, 2018 11:49 pm

Hello,

I created a flight plan from TAPA to TIST using the Cera Sim UH-60. The normal fuel burn rate is 173GPH / 1160PPH. According to the flight time below, I should only use 302GAL / 2030LBS of fuel. The max fuel capacity is 820GAL / 5494LBS. Is it possible to edit P3D to have the values show correctly? I've attached a link to the screenshot below.

Thank you

Lockheed Martin Prepar3D Flight Plan
V C Bird Intl -> King
Distance: 209.7 nm
Estimated fuel burn: 1021.7 gal / 6845.6 lb
Estimated time en route: 1:46

Hello,

I recommend contacting the developer of this aircraft. There may need to be a configuration file that needs to be updated.

Rob,

I think the error is in the aircraft.cfg file, specifically the engine type. The CeraSim UH-6o's engine type is "5=turboprop" while the Lockheed Martin UH-60's engine type is "3=helo turbine".

With that being said, I can adjust the fuel flow scalar on the turboprop engine to achieve a specific PPH burn rate. I am unable however to adjust the helo turbine. Is there another variable other than changing the fuel flow scalar that needs to be adjusted?

Any advice on where to begin editing to get more accurate numbers?
