Re: ActiveSky not recognising P3Dv5.2 Location not found.
Hi @Martyson
Interesting cause my P3Dv5.2HF1 is in my C drive program files... should it not be there?
I assumed to place the AS in the same path so as to link both of them?
About the version I placed a dot by accident. Sorry!

Did you mention this to Active Sky Support (Ticket or Forum)?

Re: ActiveSky not recognising P3Dv5.2 Location not found.
ClipperWings,
You should never, ever install P3D or any add-ons into the default location of C:\Program Files, but instead install P3D to something like C:\P3D, or, if you have more than one drive, to for instance D:\P3D. ActiveSky would then go into C:\ActiveSky or D:\ActiveSky.
The reason for is to get the programs out of the claws of UAC, or User Account Control, which will try its very worst to stop you from doing what you want to do.

Re: ActiveSky not recognising P3Dv5.2 Location not found.
Not yet as I bought AS off Aerosoft. They didn't have a way to answer as for them, it's in the right path... next stop the AS forums...
Now this is really interesting Jorgen. I didn't think at all about the UAC, or User Account Control... I'm noticing that it really doesn't want you to do what it is you want therefore I will uninstall everything and do just that - I'm hoping it'll fix the issue!JorgenSA wrote: ↑Sat Jul 31, 2021 4:53 pm ClipperWings,

Did you review how you installed P3D and Active Sky with Active Sky support?
Note: I also asked about this in my previous post?
Just to verify you did not have any problems running P3D from the default location (C drive program files) , correct?
I would not expect any problems running P3D from the default location.
You just had a problem installing Active sky, per your topic title, correct?
Seeing you want to uninstall P3D here are some helpful links:
Checksum , verify it:
