[RESOLVED] Zoom working in a wrong way

Postby Felidae » Sat Jun 08, 2019 7:03 pm

Hello.
I have P3DV4.5 running quite well on a "big" machine. Until yesterday, at least
I was at a gate. I pressed on Y to move the plane a bit for better docking. And made the mistake to press on an other key( of course a mistake) and the plane began to bury her nose in the ground and the to play "crazy".
After restarting P3D the zoom was no longer working correctly. Now the dimensions or views of the plane are altered when I zoom in or out . in cockpit view e.g. the zoom is blocking at 0.36 but the panel is soon looking very very narrow '(and it's the same for the other views) .And the view is closing or opening partly like a fan (from left and right) by full zooming in or out

I have tried a new camera.cfg: no change.
Could somebody help me to repair this issue?

Thanks and regards

Daniel

Hello.
I have P3DV4.5 running quite well on a "big" machine. Until yesterday, at least
I was at a gate. I pressed on Y to move the plane a bit forward for better docking. And still in slew mode made the mistake to press on an other key; the plane began to bury her nose in the ground and to play "crazy".
After restarting P3D the zoom was no longer working correctly. Now the dimensions or views of the plane are altered when I zoom in or out . in cockpit view e.g. the zoom is blocking at 0.36 but the panel is soon looking very very narrow , about a third or less than normal'(and it's the same for the other views) .Thee view is also closing or opening partly like a fan (from left and right) by full zooming in or out.
P3D is still working OK.
I have tried generating a new camera.cfg: no change.
Please, could somebody help me to repair this issue?

Thanks and regards

You probably rotated the aircraft when in SLEW mode. Pressing Y again would have fixed it. You seem to be zooming in and out too far, the normal setting is 1.00. do yo have Wide Aspect View ticked in the P3D settings

Hello,
so, nobody has an idea how to fix this "corruption"?
Maybe somebody by lm could help?
Just to know where the section relevant for zoom in, zoom out or windowed small and windowed large (not full screen) would be a huge help. After spending so much time (and money) for P3D and the sim, only the idea to reinstall all the stuff is a nightmare vision
Still hoping.....

Hi Daniel,

Can you post screenshots of what you are seeing? Our general debugging steps are here as well, they might help track down the cause of the problem:

Hello , thanks a lot to take of your time to support me.

The solution ? I found it by random.
Changing the settings in view group = unticking the box brought a normal zoom behaviour back.
I hope I can fly again
Best regards from Paris
