Who can supply me with the Beech Baron 58?

Post by Bat737 »

In FSX and in earlier versions of P3D, the Beech Baron 58 was one of the default aircrafts. I love to fly with this airplane and I copied the B58 folder in each new version of P3D till 5.2. Recently I updated the sim to 5.3, forgot to copy the folder and deleted 5.2 from my PC.

So does anybody has this folder still in his Simobject\Airplanes folder? And if so, would you be so kind to transfer it to me? I would be very grateful.

Dave, thank you for replying.
Your link refers to payware. I already noticed this product offer by myself. Besides, the compatability with P3D5 is questionable.
But I am looking for someone who still has the default B58, that came with FSX / P3D, installed on his computer. I experienced that this plane still works very well with P3D5. Hopefully someone else will read this request.

Hans,

I do hope that you are aware that what you are asking is a violation of copyright?

Jorgen,

Not in my opinion. Many years ago, I think when buying FSX, I paid for this aircraft. So I'm entitled to use this one. That's also my last hope. If nobody can help me, I will install FSX again temporarily and copy the aircraft in my P3D5 aircraft folder again. After that I can uninstall FSX again. I don't see any violation.

Hans, if you do it that way then you are OK. It is when someone else sends you the aircraft that there would be a legal problem.

I did much the same thing once - copied the King Air 350 from FSX to P3D v. 4.3, and that worked all the way up to v. 4.5. But the aircraft did not work in v. 5.

I posted the payware link due to the terms of the P3D EULA.

I reinstalled FSX and copied the Beech Baron 58 folder into P3D5.3. Everything works fine and I am very happy to have this plane back.

Jorgen, I also copied the Beech King Air 350. That plane is also working fine in my P3D5.3 sim. As do the old Cessna 172 and Cessna Grand Caravan. Maybe another try?

Pity, unfortunately I cannot send you the Beech King Air 350 folder. EULA rules! ;-)

Happy flying

What I do, for AC I've paid for via other means, I have a totally separate folder that I copy them to, with their folder structure intact. Then it's, usually, just a copy and paste to the correct location.

Sabre57,

That's the way to do it.

I intended to do it in that way. But I thought that I had filled this backup location, so I deleted P3D5.2 HF1 and installed P3D5.3. When I wanted to copy the backup AC folders into P3D5.3, I discovered that they were empty. But as you can see, I have recovered them by reinstalling FSX temporarily. And checked the backup location thoroughly this time!

I've got a B58 Turbo for you. Works in P3Dv5.3. Something I put together years ago. Canada to the rescue.
