Dark Dark Cockpits

Post by severniae »

Hi,

I've got problems with dark cockpits in 5.2 with the latest hotfix - it affects all aircraft with EA on.

I see the workaround from BiologicalNanobot but this makes the night time too bright.

Is there a way to reduce the darkness of internal shadows? This appears to be the issue.

Regards,

Cockpits are still very dark with shadows both on and off...

Will they ever fix this?

Yes, I'm afraid it is the same.

It is slightly better with internal shadows off. I even tried BioNanobot's fix and it barely improves it at all. In fact I didn't notice any difference.

Here is P3d 5.3 default. This is with Auto Exposure on - it's even darker with it off...

I tried flying a 360 to see if it brightened without the sun ahead, it did not...

In real life, I would expect the cockpit to be significantly brighter at altitude around midday..

As I mentioned earlier, the darkness of the shadows is way way too much...
