I heard the Microsoft update to fix PC Gaming went out, if that is correct?

However, it did not fix the Anti-Aliasing issues in games... seriously, what is going on then?

I updated to 21H1 Windows 10 Pro 64 and still no fix.

@ PilotRaider14 ,

I have not seen that update.

Did you get it (WIN10 Insiders) and test it?

it has been rolled out as a server side patch. I didn't even know what this was until I read about this fix. Anyway this is what I found.

"How to verify if the fix has been installed
This patch is entirely cloud-based so it can’t be verified by comparing the OS version or build numbers. To verify the fix, simply open Registry Editor and navigate to the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FeatureManagement\Overrides\4\1837593227"

This patch can be applied without you even knowing about it depending on how you have windows update configured. Not sure I like that.

Just checked and unfortunately 1837593227 is not there. :/

What now? Just wait until it magically appears? Pressing the Check For Updates button does nothing.

I'm running Win10 with all the latest updates, drivers 461.09 (there's no need to update if there's no reason to do so) and i have no issues whatsoever. P3D runs with all settings maxed (i mean ALL) except SSAA which 4x is enough. 2080Ti, variable refresh rate on a 144Hz monitor and it's just flawless and butter smooth.

Actually i don't remember ever seeing AA issues, only if i went down to MSAA 2x.

@ Jameson ,

I agree.

As I have previously mentioned in other replies (with screenshots) on the same AA topic.

Getting the update is dependent on how Windows update is configured on your PC. And this type of update won't show up in Windows update. Here's an article I found about how the process works.

Yeah I don't like how they're doing this "behind the scenes" updates... I updated to 21H1 and I'm still having issues with AA.

Over at the NVIDIA Forum (which is quite a toxic forum community), I got one reply but no source yet to his assumptions. Which I did ask him to include.

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/fo ... ic/236716/

Apparently LOD Clamp/Allow doesn't do anything anymore since the Fermi Architecture... not sure if that's true.

As for driver implemented MSAA he says NVIDIA won't implement it anymore because it utilized ancient forward rendering techniques? Again, no source.

If those statements are to be true, then does that mean any and all game devs need to re-invent/re-code the Anti-Aliasing implementation for their games/software? In this case, LM would need to implement a different kind of AA?

Every few years it feels like NVIDIA/MS pull the rug out from all of us.

If you all may, please submit driver feedback through NVIDIA's official driver feedback form:

Hey guys, can all 3 of you post your system specs? I just want to see if the issue is somehow related to hardware.
I've seen some guys that don't have this issue are running on AMD CPU's. I don't have an AMD PC to test this out unfortunately.

Thanks.
